Are You a Better CEO Than Your Competitors?

Are you a better CEO of your martial arts school than your competitors?

I’m currently sitting on the balcony of my hotel in Miami, FL a day before a big marketing conference I’m attending… and about every 10 minutes, I see a Lamborghini or some sort of supercar drive by.

Why am I telling you this?

Because to reach that level of success requires discipline… Now, you don’t have to want a supercar to be successful. That’s not my point. My point is, to reach whatever level of success you desire, you need to be disciplined in all areas of your business.

What does being disciplined in all areas of business look like?

Think about it this way; YOU are the CEO of your business.
You also have competitors all around you who want the same customers (students) that you are going after.

There are 3 key areas that you should be focusing on to grow your business.

        1. Marketing and Lead Generation – this is how you get new students in the door. You should always have some sort of marketing campaign running at all times. The schools that struggle don’t advertise consistently. You want to always out-market your competition.

        2. Retention
– this is how you keep your students training with you longer. If you didn’t read the email that I sent out last week, go back and read that now! Retention is how you get to the 300-500 student mark (when combined with consistent advertising).

        3. Multiple streams of income
– this is how you maximize the revenue generated in your business. Of course, you have your membership fees, but then think of what else you can do to increase revenue and grow your bottom line. In-house workshops, private lessons, merchandise, seminars, online video courses, special membership packages, etc… these are just a few things that you need to have to maximize your income.

Over the next few posts, I am going to show you how to become the BEST CEO for your business in all 3 key areas above. But more on that in the next email… for now just to get you thinking, how disciplined are you truly in the following.

  • Calling your leads within 5 minutes of them opting in for a free class

  • Setting out at least 45 minutes a day to follow up with old leads… EVERYDAY!

  • Coming up with new marketing campaigns on a consistent basis.

  • Meeting with your staff EVERY WEEK to set goals and go over the prior week.

If you are not doing these things and your competitors are, it’s only a matter of time before you’ll be fighting for second place…

Why is it so important anyway to best business? The true question is, WHY NOT?

By generating more money, you can provide the best possible training experience for all of your students.
This allows you to bring in the best talent, give them the best equipment, afford to take time off and travel because you can afford to hire instructors and staff, you’ll be able to pay your staff and instructors a competitive salary so they are excited about working for you and making your school the best place to train.
